Your hosts at Berry Patch Bed and Breakfast,
Keith & Tricia Friel, had been traveling with the US Coast
Guard for 20 years.  After retirement, we settled in the quaint
Alaskan town of Seward.  As empty nesters, the idea of
entertaining travelers from around the world and sharing the
slow paced lifestyle of rural Alaska appealed to us.  In 2007
we turned our home into a bed and breakfast to achieve that
purpose.

We enjoy raising our own chickens and daily gathering eggs.
We are avid gardeners and enjoy fresh vegetables and
berries picked right in our own backyard all summer long.
Most recently, we have begun bee keeping and are looking
forward to our first batch of honey.  We invite you to join us
for an Alaskan adventure and can point you in the right
direction for all your traveling needs, including kayaking,
hiking, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling trails.  If
relaxing around the homestead is more your style, you'll
enjoy the hammock, fire pit, and outdoor hot tub.
